Born and raised in Davidson County NC, 40+ year resident. US Navy veteran “Tin Can Sailor” Single dad of 2 & Grandfather to one special young man. Co – Owner of 2 small business’ here in Davidson County, Blue collar business’ with small town values. My business is a SDVOSB (service disabled veteran owned small business)
Currently serving on the Thomasville City Council.I Started my foray into local government as a member of the Thomasville Board of Planning and Adjustment and the Thomasville Multicultural Board. After chairing the planning board i successfully ran for a seat on the city council and won a four year term. Currently sitting on The Davidson County Transportation Advisory Board, “TAB” as well as the High point MPO Transportation Advisory council “TAC”. Also serving on the Davidson County board of DSS assisting in decision making and policy for the betterment of the local citizen’s. On city council i serve as the Vice Chair of the Public Safety Committee as well as the Chair of the Transportation committee.
I am a Proud member of the Thomasville Rotary club where i have served on committees and boards in assistance to our club and officers. As a member i have donated to the the causes Rotary serves.
I am a proud member of the Lexington Moose Lodge where i have held many offices and sat on many committee boards.I hold the Moose Fellowship degree. as a member of Moose i currently serve as the State Association Vice President and Membership chairman. I am a guardian level donor, always seeking to support the main reason Moose exists, Our Children and Our seniors.
Professionally i hold a license in the HVAC field in North carolina and South Carolina. I hold an electrical license in North and South carolina. I also hold a general contractors license in North and South Carolina. I currently hold the distinction of Building analyst from the Building Performance Institute. I hold a certification as a Board certified Indoor Environmentalist from the sanctioning body of The American Council of Accredited Certification.I have been active in these fields since my return from the Navy in 1987. I currently sit on the Products committee for the Air Conditioning Contractors of America where i have been recognized as “Industry Champion”. As a member of the IAQA Indoor Air Quality Association for 15+ years i have been an outspoken advocate for clean air in and out of the home.
